Region & Climate

Conchas Lake is located in northeastern New Mexico. The elevation is 4253 ft. The summers are hot and dry, with temperatures in the 80's & 90's with an occasional 100 degree day, perfect for fun in the sun and water activities. The winters are mild with occasional snowfall, and the springs season is generally perfect weather for outdoor activities, except those occasional days dominated by high plains winds that will certainly clear the air. The fall season is moderate in all areas and ideal for any activity. It averages 16 inches of rain, 11 inches of snow, and 273 sunny days annually.


The property is located in the northeast area of New Mexico between Las Vegas, Tucumcari, and Santa Rosa, about a mile off Highway 104 on the south side of Conchas Lake. There is a business district consisting of a country store, post office, and a newly updated public airport. The airport has a runway length of 4800 ft.

The closest town is Tucumcari, NM 30 minutes away and has all amenities, gas stations, grocery stores, a hospital and restaurants. Las Vegas and Santa Rosa are both 1-hour away. Albuquerque is 2 hours and Amarillo, TX is 2 hours, both these cities have a regional airport with direct flights to multiple cities within the US.
