Phylloxera is known as a debilitating fungus that attacks certain varieties of wine grapes in the US, but the majority of the Garfield Estates vines have been grafted from root stock that is resistant to phylloxera. White wines produced by Garfield Estates include Lagniappe Blanc Viognier Sauvignon Blanc Albari o and Fum Blanc. Red wines include Zweigelt, a hardy Austrian variety Cabernet Franc a red blend called G Road a Syrah and a ros that is a blend of Cabernet Franc and Syrah. Sweet wines include a white blend, a Moscato, a Muscat Vin de Glace and a Vin Au Chocolat. Retail prices range from to a bottle. The winery produces about 1,200 cases of wine a year, with the potential to produce more. In some years, the vineyard actually produces more grapes than the winemaker can keep up with. Currently there are 800-900 cases in reserve available for a new owner to jump-start their marketing campaign.

The Garfield Estates winery is blessed with abundant irrigation water for its vineyard. The 11 acres in cultivation are entitled to 55 acre feet of Palisade irrigation water, an old priority right that is available well into the fall. There is practically no way to apply 5 feet of water to each acre of land. The vines are watered by a state-of pressurized irrigation system using a pump to pressurize the water through a sand media filter system, then into a series of 11 zones delivering water to the vines through a drip spray system.
