The Lehigh Valley Railroads established one of the largest railcar shops & switching yards in the east and Sayre became a Railroad Boom Town. Mangilardo's began housing railroad workers and feeding them at their hotel. The demand for Mother Mangilardo's excellent Italian cooking required them to open a full service restaurant & tavern. The four daughters and two sons joined their parents in the continuous expansion of the business over the next 87 years.
Today Mangialardo's, operated by one of Ginevra's grandsons, carries on the old world Italian family recipes & food preparation techniques handed down through the generations.

The kitchen is very efficient & designed for quality food output. The dining rooms seats 68 patrons and the bar seats 28.
