Monte has been serving in the forest industry for over 20 years. Monte spent several years performing contract forestry work for several timber companies. In 2009, he was asked to join a large forestry consulting firm where he assisted in managing forestry activities on over 100,000 acres of forestland in Arkansas, Texas, and Oklahoma. In order to spend more time with his family and his ministry, in 2013, he left the consulting firm and became an independent forestry consultant, primarily contracting with Timber Investment Management Organizations (TIMOs). As a forestry consultant, Monte supervises all aspects of forestry activity, from planting young trees to final harvest. Recognizing the utility of aerial reconnaissance and on demand imagery, in 2018 Monte purchased several aerial drones and received his Part 107 commercial drone pilots license. He not only offers his services to TIMOs and timberland managers, but also to realtors by performing indoor and outdoor photography/videography to suit the needs of his clientele. Monte has an Arkansas real estate license and is currently pursuing his Oklahoma and Texas real estate license as well. He is a member of the Association of Consulting Foresters, a registered forester in Arkansas and Oklahoma and is also a Certified Forester by the Society of American Foresters. He resides with his wife Ann (also a forester) and their six children in southwest Arkansas.
